Mariusz Drapikowski and Mariusz Gliwiński are presenting their works at the exhibition in Mosbach nearby Heidelberg.
The vernissage, attended by both desigenrs, took place on January 24th 2010. The exhibition at the Town Hall Chamber will be held until March 21st. The organisers of the exhibition are the Town Museum and Volkshochschule (VHS). It's the second exhibition the artists have together together – the first one was organised in 2000 in Neuenstadt on the manager of the Museum im Schafstall, Hubert Sawatzki's initiative, and it turned out to be very popular with the visitors.
This exhibition also looks interesting. Among the presented works there are sacral and secular art by Mariusz Drapikowski, as well as amber jewellery and small spatial forms by Mariusz Gliwiński. „The exhibition in Mosbach for me is a sort of retrospection – I would like to show how my way of thinking about jewellery have developed” - announces Mariusz Gliwiński. In order to achieve this, some of the older works were renovated a bit. The collections presented at the Amberif fairs are also shown, as well as small spatial forms with amber. „While making my choice I was trying to pick the ones strongly connected with the amber theme, though there will be a few other materials.” - explains the author.
Accompanying events
As of the end of January VHS offers an attractive programme complementing the exhibition. The programme will consist of: a tour around the exhibition, lectures, cultural events, creative tasks, and a trip to Gdańsk.
